Clark says he draws his inspiration from nature. Inspired by the trees of Oregon’s great Northwest coast, The Crystal Tree sculpture (above right) draws on the movement of the wind rising from the ocean, forming the shore pines into graceful shapes and dancing-like fig- ures. The art piece, which is part of the city’s Public Art program, was installed last week in Old Town to replace the Copper Leafe Tree piece purchased by Hannigan. Clark’s new art sculpture is also avail- able for purchase, for $3,500, through the City of Florence. The Art Exposed program is a rotating art gallery that offers artists the opportunity to display their work for a two-year period at a minimal cost to the city. Currently, there are four sculptures on dispay along Bay Street in Old Town. The city collects a 30-percent commission from each sale.
