The popular NF Alsea fishery does not open until Dec. 1. Bobber fishing with jigs/bait and cast- ing lures are all effective ways to catch these hard fighting fish. Trout fishing in streams closed Nov. 1. SALMON RIVER: Fall Chinook, winter steelhead Fall Chinook fishing on the Salmon River has been slow this year.
