6A | SATURDAY, JULY 7, 2018 | SIUSLAW NEWS FUUF donates to Siuslaw Outreach Services On July 2, Florence Unitar- ian Universalist Fellowship member Nin Bebeau present- ed a check in the amount of $4,094.00 to the Siuslaw Out- reach Services (SOS) Execu- tive Director Bob Teter. Every year, the FUUF con- gregation selects four to six lo- cal groups in which they want to support and donate to for two or three months at a time. The donation for SOS was col- lected each Sunday from April through June. SOS is a 501(c)3 nonprof- it organization which began serving Western Lane County in 1986. Its mission is to pro- vide compassionate, respectful and confidential support to people in need. Teter said, “SOS is invested in the success of our clients. We want our clients to thrive, not just survive.” SOS provides protective or- der assistance, help with util- ities, women’s empowerment, veteran’s assistance and emer- gency vouchers that offer help with shelter, fuel, showers, DENTURE SERVICES INC.
