Join the team for a photo opportunity and celebration to honor the installation of a horse sculpture at the Florence Senior Center, 1570 Kingwood St., on Tuesday, April 24, at 2 p.m. The sculpture is made from recycled oil drums and hand welded by artists at the Kabiria Metal Works in Nairobi, Kenya. This event will acknowledge this generous donation from Sam Spayd and Ron Green, and acknowledge the efforts of the A new public art sculp- ture, donated by Sam Spayd and Ron Green, will be unveiled at Florence Senior Center on Tuesday, April 24. The event is part of Oregon Humanities’ statewide Conversation Project. Oregonians love local food, but finding truly local fish can be hard, even on the coast. As a culture, Americans are now much more aware of ethically grown meat and vegetables, but seafood remains somewhat mysterious.
