The annual Florence Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m. in the Miller Park open field area. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to all children ages one to 10 years old. The Siuslaw High School Interact Club, which has over 30 members from freshmen to seniors, organizes and hosts Heceta Head Lightstation is celebrating 124 years of its First Order Fresnel Lens shin- ing light on the Oregon coast on Friday, March 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. Birthday party sponsors, Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative, will be provid- ing warm drinks and cupcakes. Taylor Sausages will be serving hot dogs, and Destination Events has donated a popcorn machine. Local musicians, such as Milo Graamans, will perform at the historic Keeper’s House. The State Park will have the lighthouse open, U.S. Forest Service interpretive docents will be sharing information, and information about the marine reserve will be avail- able.
