SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21, 2018 5 A Elks to host annual ‘Best Yachats Ladies Club holds 16th annual Spring Bazaar Wurstfest’ in April A Bavarian Folk Festival will be held at the Florence Elks Lodge on Saturday, April 7. The “Best Wurstfest” will have an authentic Bavarian atmosphere featuring German folk music and dancers, along with traditional German food and beer. Festivities will begin at 11 a.m. inside the Elks Lodge, 1686 12th St., and will contin- ue until 6 p.m. Funds raised will go to The Yachats Ladies Club’s 16th Annual Spring Bazaar will happen on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 23 to 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the YLC Clubhouse, 286 W. Third and Pontiac streets in Yachats. On Saturday only, lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free to this family-friendly event. Attendees will find a large variety of beautiful and useful items including spring décor, journals, sturdy tote bags, wall hangings, small quilts, cards, bookmarks, a large selection of aprons, unusual handmade pil- lowcases, afghans, knitted items including slippers, hats and scarves, vests and more. For the sewing enthusiasts, there will be a selection of unique pin cushions. Unusual beaded jewelry will also be featured. All craft items are made by club members. Edible treats, including baked goods and candy, will be sold at the bake table. For Easter, Mother’s Day, weddings, birthdays and gradu- ation, the choice is always right for a Gifts-On-The-Go Gift Basket. The Yachats Ladies Club is famous for its carefully creat- ed, themed gift baskets that make gift giving fun and easy. A large array of baskets will be scholarships for vocational education. The festival will be a family friendly with lots to do for people of all ages. Admission will be $5 for adults, with children age 12 and under admitted free.
