At this time, there are 65 animals in resi- dence — dogs, cats, chickens, a donkey, a llama, goats, hors- es and pigs. These animals are loved, well taken care of and fully vetted when needed. It all takes money — lots of money. As a 501(c)3, nonprofit, all of Sacred Animal Sanctuary’s employees are volunteers. One of those, Lauren, is a great chocolatier with Maximillian Chocolate.
