Coastal Celtic Society presents its 16th annual Scottish Burns Night Celebration on Friday, Feb. 2. Th e celebration includes entertain- ment by bagpipers, harpists, guitarists and sing- ers. Th e banquet includes traditional Scottish dishes — such as Tat- ties and Neeps, Cock-a-Leekie Soup, Hag- gis, and Trifl e dessert, as well as Chicken in the Heather and top Sirloin — and all the traditional Burns Night ceremonies such as the piping in of the haggis. A social hour will be held at 5 p.m.;, with the banquet and program at 6 p.m. Scottish attire is suggested but not required. Th e Coastal Celtic Society is committed to promoting education and participa- tion in the heritage of the Celtic traditions and celebrations. We support the Scottish Highland Games and Celtic Festivals of the Pacifi c Northwest. Our objec- tives are to maintain the heri- tage of our culture by assisting others in their quest of Celtic history and traditions. And we know how to have a good time!
