S COURTESY PHOTO Over-the-air TV channels require re-scan today Florence, OR CCB#195304 541-997-2422 The sale of Spectrum by the FCC requires that West Lane Translator, Inc. change channels for three of its translators, KVAL (CBS), KMTR (NBC) and KLSR (Fox). The change is scheduled to occur on Thursday, Dec. 7, between noon and 4 p.m. During this time, antenna- based viewers will lose all stations and need to re-scan their televisions to find the new channels. After setting your TV to Scan (through the Menu option), and assuming that it successfully finds the trans- lators on their new channels, nothing will look different to the viewer. The three network stations will once again appear on the same channel selections as before (channels 13, 16 and 34). Down time will affect all over-the-air TV channels and is expected to be a few hours due to the complexity of the changes. West Lane Translator cooperated with other broad- casters and engineers in Lane County to find interference- free schemes of channel assignment. Much gratitude is due to those who figured out this difficult frequency allotment puzzle. WLT regrets this incon- venience to viewers and will work diligently to restore the channels as quickly as possi- ble. For more information, go t o w w w. w e s t l a n e t v. o rg / HDTV/Repack.
