Ron was hired in July 2007 as Executive
Vice President & Chief Credit Officer for
the Oregon Pacific Bank, and was
appointed as President and CEO in
August 2013. Ron serves on the Lane
Community College Advisory Board, is
active with the Florence Rotary Club, and
is a strong supporter of the Boys and
Girls Club of West Lane County. Ron is a
graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School
at the University of Washington and has
been in banking since 1989. Ron is the
board chairman of the Peace Harbor
Medical Center Community Board of
Directors and a member of the Peace
Harbor Medical Center Foundation Board
of Directors.

Ned Hickson has been a member of the
Florence community since 1981. He
graduated from Siuslaw High School in
1984 and was a regional chef for
Morrison, Inc., where he oversaw opera-
tions and restaurant development for res-
taurants in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee
and Kentucky. In 1998, he returned to
Florence and began his career as a jour-
nalist at Siuslaw News. He is nationally
syndicated columnist, author, award-win-
ning journalist and was promoted to edi-
tor in 2016. He also served as a volunteer
firefighter/engineer at Siuslaw Valley Fire
and Rescue from 2010-2015, and was
Recruit of the Year in 2010.
Elected to the board May 2015- Tony
is a Florence native. He is married to
Melissa, both are Siuslaw HS
graduates. They have two sons Kevin
and Kyle, also Siuslaw HS graduates.
Tony and Melissa own Tony’s Garage
specializing in auto service and repair.
The Phillips family including Kevin’s
wife Lindsey work in the day to day
operations. Tony is a ASE Certified
Master Technician.
His hobbies and interests include
classic automobiles, motorcycles, travel
and relaxation time
with his family and friends.
Married to Lesa and together
they have 9 children and 18
grandchildren. He has a been
a volunteer member since
1986 and is happily retired.
His hobbies include motorcy-
cles and ATV’s. Elected to
the board in May of 2015.

Jim Langborg
Chief Jim Langborg has been in the fire
service for over 24 years and in EMS for
over 30 years. He began his career in the
United States Air Force where he served as a
Medic. He is married to his wife Tina and
they have a 25-year-old daughter who lives in
Vancouver, WA. When Jim and his wife
aren’t working, they enjoy riding ATVs,
fishing, and camping. Jim’s interests in the
Fire Service and EMS began early in life
after becoming a fan of the TV show
“Emergency.” Jim and his wife consider the
Pacific Northwest their home and were
thrilled when they had the opportunity to
live in Florence and become part of the
incredible team of SVFR and WLAD.

Holly Lais
I went through SVFR Volunteer
Firefighter Academy in August
2017 and joined their
Administrative team the same
year. I am currently working
hard to become an EMT. I have
a wonderful husband, Kore
(married this September) and a
happy Cocker spaniel named
Marley. I enjoy hiking,
kayaking, reading, and cozying
up on the couch with a hot cup
of tea.

Sean Barrett
Sean has been an active member
of the fire Department since
1987. Proudly married to his
beautiful bride, Robyn, has 3
children, 2 step-sons and 4
grandchildren. Sean enjoys
camping, boating, and riding his
ATV. He also restores antique
fire apparatus and collects fire
memorabilia. His primary
focus is the department… just
ask his family.

Boa entered the department in
2006, was '07 Recruit of the Year,
'09 FIrefighter of the Year and '12
Officer of the Year. President of a
Transportation Brokerage, he and
his wife Elke, have two children.

scooter around town. I like to take
care of business from one of the
many great coffee shops here in
Florence. I'm thankful for the
opportunity to once again serve the
community like I did when I was in
the Air Force. Both types of
services create unique bonds which
lasts forever."

Division Chief Jim Dickerson started
with SVFR in 2016, began his career in
emergency services in 1996, and serves
in the USCG Reserves as a damage
controlman. OPS graduated from Drake
University in Des Moines, IA with
degrees in Pre Law, Political Science,
and Sociology and has been a professor
for two community college fire/ems
programs. OPS and his wife Danielle
enjoy travel, motorsports, movies, and
music. Chief Dickerson loves the
challenge of the fire service and is
excited to be a part of SVFR.
