The community is encour-

this event.
A formal program will
begin at 11 a.m.
Refreshments will be avail-

us in celebration,” said city
intern Claire Waggoner.
Florence Mayor Joe Henry

Gargis, president of the SEA
Board. “Ticket sales generate
about 60 percent of our rev-
enue and we rely on our spon-
sors, patrons and grants for the
remainder.
“It’s really important that we
keep the costs of attending our
shows within reach for the
community while maximizing
the quality of the talent we put
on stage.”
Gargis went on the share that
85 percent of SEA’s dollars are
spent on talent, including pro-
duction costs, and only 15 per-
cent on marketing and adminis-
trative costs thanks to the all-
volunteer organization.
“Our
Community

part of our operating budget,
we see it as one more way we
can give back to Florence,”
said Gargis.
