Participating artists are Claire Good, Carol Summers, Jowanna Gosselin and Nina Toepher. Founded in 2008, the Guild is open to fine artists from the Central Oregon Coast. Membership has varied between 18 and 32 artists, working in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, col- ored pencil, pen and ink, photog- raphy and woodworking. As charter member Carol Summers said, “The friends of the Yachats Commons gifted the Guild with hanging rods for the walls, enabling the Guild to hang art pro- fessionally. With the support of the City of Yachats, and the Friends of the Commons, the Guild continues to grow.” • Claire Good is an accom- T plished, award-winning artist who uses oil, acrylic and watercolor in her paintings, and enjoys painting coastal scenes, landscapes, flow- ers, animals, birds, people and medieval villages she has visited. • Carol Summers is a retired court reporter, moving to Yachats in 2003. In 2005, she added watercolor to her repertoire, study- ing in Florence with Susan Weathers.
