As the artists explained, “On a lark, we combined talents to celebrate Oregon birds on local driftwood.” They call their collab- oration “Driftwood Art,” the result of a retired carpenter, Andy Nedder, and a profes- sional artist, Edie Carhart, sharing a new creative venture. Their wall display will defi- nitely “catch your eye,” as will all the new artwork that has recently been added to the gallery. The public is invited to enjoy the gallery Wednesday through Sunday, as well on the Andy Nedder and Edie Carhart are new artist’s at FRAA. They are working togeather on drift- wood inspired pieces. Oregon Alzheimer’s to offer classes at library The Alzheimer ’s Association Oregon Chapter (AAOC) will be holding an education class, “Dementia Conversations,” from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 5, at the Siuslaw Public Library in the Bromley Room. The library is located at 1460 Ninth St. This class is designed to help attendees discuss with family challenging and often uncomfortable topics that sur- round Alzheimer’s and demen- tia.
