Siuslaw Alumni Association
announces scholarships
The
Siuslaw
Alumni
Association (SAA) is helping
beat the high cost of higher
education.
On the second Saturday of
every September, SAA holds
an all-class reunion banquet
with a raffle that raises thou-
sands of dollars. This enables
SAA to offer scholarships to
college-bound Siuslaw stu-
dents.
This year, awards include
two $3,500 scholarships from
the SAA, a $3,500 scholarship
that is an individual gift by an
SHS alumnus, and a $1,500
memorial scholarship in honor
of Wanda Ziemer Hoberg, a
founder and the first treasurer
of the SAA.
Students should contact the
school councilor for more
information.
