Allen – Kerner
Amanda Allen and Louis
Kerner have announced their
engagement to be married
June 24 at the bride’s parents’
ranch in Baker City, Ore.
Allen is the daughter of
Peggy and Burleigh Allen of
Baker City; Kerner is the son
of Dr. Stephen and Beth
Kerner of Florence.
The bride graduated from
high school in Boise, Idaho;
the groom graduated from
Siuslaw High School in 2011.
Both are graduates of
Western Oregon University
in June 2015.
The bride has a degree in
ASL and has returned to
school to pursue her master’s
degree in early childhood
education, with a focus on
speech needs.
The groom has a degree in
sociology with a focus on
history. He works for the
Army National Guard.

provides area youth an impor-
tant opportunity to build a
connection with their food
from seed to table.
Enter into a raffle to sup-
port the Siuslaw School

The Siuslaw School Garden
is located at the elementary
school. It has 18 garden beds,
a composting system, and will
soon have a small greenhouse.
