Kat Cunningham, of Circle 4 Oneness Center, is also a jewelry designer in Florence. She has combined a fun jew- elry-making party aimed at raising funds to support women’s life skill needs. The “Build a Bracelet, Brighten a Life” program brings pay-it-forward funds to offer the “Compass for Oneness” decision-making training to the underserved female population. The party starts with turn- ing individual, heart-based passions into the symbology of color. Discover what semi-pre- cious minerals help to de- stress, support and promote focus with daily intention. Find out when silver vs. gold metal should be worn and how an intention acti- vates the stones. Intentional jewelry is a quick reminder to stay connected to our daily choices. Put together a ladies party with your group, or come on Saturday, Jan. 14, or Monday, Jan. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. Seating is limited and a donation is required. FRAA seeks artist entries for upcoming festival The Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) is inviting artists to participate in the inaugural Florence Fest, to be held at the Florence Events Center March 31 and April 1. “This unique event, which will feature two days of jazz, art and wine, will be high- lighted by talented jazz musi- cians and outstanding wine from some of the best winer- ies in the Willamette Valley,” said Harlen Springer of FRAA. “The juried art section of the event will provide max- imum exposure for creative artist’s work and prize money will be awarded.” Selection for the exhibit will be made by Robert Canaga, an accomplished painter, photographer and printmaker. He has been the curator for numerous exhibitions throughout the Northwest, including the Gallery at the Watershed, PeaceHealth Headquarters, OPUS6IX and the Coos Art Museum. A former gallery owner, Canaga also has exhibited in over 30 selected shows, most recently at a three-month show in the State Capitol Building. His work currently appears in 14 public and private col- lections. “This is an opportunity to be part of a very special event,” said Springer. Cash prizes will also be awarded and will be selected by an awards committee of three local artists and gallery owners: SK Lindsey (Kenneth B.
