his year’s Winter Music
Festival will bring nine bands
and headliner Danny
O’Keefe, best known for his
hit single “Good Time Charlie’s Got
the Blues.”
Among the bands performing at the
two-day music festival will be Cabin
Fever NW, RJ Ballard, Ian McFeron,
Halie and the Moon, Pretty Gritty,
Midnight Darlins, Castletown, The
Colin Trio, as well as Haley Johnsen,
who will open for O’Keefe.
The festival will take place Saturday,
Jan. 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with
O’Keefe headlining Saturday at 7 p.m.

The two-day event is an exciting and
diverse bright spot in what can be a

dreary time in the Pacific Northwest. It
draws attendance from up and down
the West Coast from among those who
enjoy quality Americana, bluegrass,
contemporary folk music and rising per-
formers from the Pacific Northwest.
The festival’s Artisan Fair will feature
dozens of artists and crafters exhibiting
and selling their wares during and
between concerts. The fair will be from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission to the Artisan Fair is free.
In 1968, this year’s headliner,
O’Keefe, was a member of a four-man
heavy psychedelic rock band named
Calliope. The group recorded one
album, “Steamed,” for Buddah Records
before disbanding.
O’Keefe received national aclaim for
“Good Time Charlie’s Got the Blues” in
