Accelerator and Innovation Network) presented David Youngentob as the new coastal venture catalyst to Florence
entrepreneurs and community members at 1285 Restobar. Youngentob, who began Nov. 1, will serve western
Lane County and Lincoln County, helping to bring support, networking and learning opportunities to area entre-

are having a “Blue Christ-
mas” worship on Monday,
Dec. 19, at 2 p.m.
The worship will be hosted
at New Life Lutheran, locat-
ed on 21st and Spruce streets.
This time together is called
“Blue Christmas” as it is
meant for those where
Christmas this year may be a
struggle or difficult.
It may be because of griev-
ing the loss of a loved one or
other major life change.
Come for this meaningful
time of readings, songs, light-
ing candles and mutual sup-
port.

Shorewood, Santa help local hungry
On Saturday, Dec. 3, at
Shorewood Senior Living, a
free holiday dinner was pro-
vided for those who brought a
donation of a non-perishable
food idem to donate to
Florence Food Share.
This year, Shorewood
Senior Living was able to col-
lect 365 pounds of food and
served over 140 holiday meals.
In addition, diners were
entertained by the Florence
Women’s Barber Shop Quartet.
Santa made an appearance,
handing out cookies and taking
pictures with the guests. It was
the first event to be hosted at
Shorewood since being pur-
chased by Compass Senior
Living and the completion of
its extensive remodel.
