Friday, Dec. 2 H OLLY J OLLY F OLLIES TAKES TO STAGE AT FEC This year’s Follies, called “Ho Ho Hollywood,” will have four perform- ances, beginning tonight at 7 p.m., and again on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on Sunday at 2 p.m. For tickets to “Ho Ho Hollywood,” visit the Florence Events Center website at www.eventcenter.org, go to the box office at 715 Quince St. or call 541- 997-1994. Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for youth 12 and younger. All proceeds will support youth scholarships and the ongoing free arts programming that CROW provides to local kids. FRAA H OLIDAY A RTS F EST From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Siuslaw High School senior students and parents will be hosting a bottle/can drive and mak- ing a Beaver vs. Ducks Civil War com- petition out of it. Cans and bottles may be dropped at Copeland Lumber, 3231 Highway 101, and Siuslaw Middle School, 2525 Oak St. Thursday, Dec. 1 LCC HOSTS OPEN HOUSE Get a sneak peek of the Continuing Education courses and programs planned for the winter term during Lane Holiday Arts Festival 2016 is the per- fect place to shop for unique gifts for the coming holiday season. This show is presented by Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) and runs from 1 to 7 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Florence Events Center. The Holiday Arts Festival kicks off a special three-day event at the FEC that includes Empty Bowls and Holly Jolly Follies. Artisans exhibiting in the Holiday Arts Festival will be donating 10 per- cent of their sales to the FRAA Art Center. Admission is free. Sunday, Dec. 4 C OME HEAR J OYFUL N OISE Joyful Noise Children’s Choir will present its Christmas production, “Angels Alert” at 6 p.m., at the Florence Christian Church at Second and Ivy streets Joyful Noise Childrens Choir is a sea- sonal choir for children of the commu- nity, 4 years old through fifth grade. The public is invited and encouraged to participate in this free event, which will occur from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Florence Events Center. F REE COMMUNITY CONCERT The Community Chorus of Florence will be presenting two concerts at the Presbyterian Church of the Siuslaw on Highway 101. Directed by Jennifer Weier, the cho- rus will perform traditional Christmas songs with presentations by several smaller ensembles, including the Florence Nightingales. Weier will also perform a piano solo, along with performances by The Presbyterian Bell Choir and the Siuslaw Middle School choir. The concerts will take place Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dece. 11, at 2 p.m. Both will be held at the Presbyterian Church of the Siuslaw, 3996 Highway 101.
