There will be donuts and coffee in the high school library at 10:30 a.m., followed by an assembly in the gym a 10:50 a.m. All veterans in attendance will be introduced to the students at the assembly. Following the assembly, veterans are invited to stay for lunch with Siuslaw students prepared by the Siuslaw Culinary class. RSVP if possible by calling Siuslaw High School at 541- 997-3448 and giving your name, phone number and something about your military history. Elfers discussed the history of Felting, techniques and the latest trends in this rapidly growing activity. The public response to the event was robust as music, refreshments and networking were the main focus of the many visitors that attended the event. Florence Food Share provides food to those who are hungry in our community. If you have four hours a week available, we are in need of volunteers to staff our Front Desk and also act as Guides as clients walk through the pantry.
