MID COAST LAKES:
Rainbow trout stocking
is complete along the mid
coast. Holdover trout will
be available in most lakes
through the summer.
Fishing for the various
warm water fish species is
good this time of year.
There are numerous lakes
in the Florence area that
can provide good opportu-
nity.

The Viking volleyball team contin-
ued its march through the Far West
League this week, easily plundering
Marshfield’s Pirates and the Bruins of
Brookings-Harbor in back-to-back,
three-game sweeps.
P IRATES
Tuesday, Siuslaw made quick work
of visiting Marshfield, sinking the
Pirates 25-12, 25-11, 25-13.
Even with junior starting libero
Maci Wells out of the line-up that night
with an injury, Siuslaw’s defense
remained strong with solid work from
sophomore McKenzie Colton, who
came in for Wells.
In addition, senior outside hitter sen-
ior Claire Waggoner moved to the
bench for a bit after being struck in the
face by a teammate’s foot. Sophomore
Alyssa Richards rotated in and the
Vikings never skipped a beat on the
way to a quick 25-12 win in the night’s

This is Isadora , a quiet and
well mannered six-year-old
lady. She thought she hit
the jackpot in the spring of
2015 when a wonderful lady
in a retirement community
adopted her.  Unfortunately
her adopterʼs health failed
and she was back at our
shelter a year later. Wonʼt
you give her another chance at her forever home?
We think sheʼs “Is-A-Dorable”!
Ivanhoe is a very handsome
gentleman. He has always
been a very sweet and affec-
tionate boy. Ivanhoe was
born in our shelter, so he
has never known anything
beyond the shelter walls. He
would love to come home
with you and be your big, or-
ange couch potato. Ivanhoe
is on a special diet that is easily found in pet supply
stores. Wonʼt you consider giving Ivanhoe his forever
home?
