Liz was the youngest of the six Hostick children and spent most of her youth and adult life in the Florence area. After graduating from Siuslaw High School in 1978, Liz immediately went on to honorably serve her country in the U.S. Army, working as a com- puter programmer at the Pentagon in Virginia. After her military service, she worked in a variety of jobs includ- ing a long stint as a waitress at Morgan’s Country Kitchen, a butcher at Thriftway and sales associate at Liz Mobley in 2015 and at Siuslaw High School in 1978 Bi-Mart. She became a mother to her only daughter, Phoebe (Hostick) Ebright, and shortly thereafter married the man of her dreams, Jack Mobley. In her 30s, she was fortunate to find her dream job as a travel agent, later purchasing the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Agency, later renamed Travel Leaders, where she worked up until the time of her diagnosis. She is survived by her husband, Jack Mobley; her daughter and son- in-law, Phoebe and Grant Ebright; her grandchildren Owen, 5, and Elliot, 2; her sisters: Marianne Klekacz, Margaret Pape and Rebecca Cole; her sister-friend, Laurie Roane; her brother, Jim Hostick; moth- er-in-law Carol Mobley; and count- less aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and community friends, who were each considered fami- ly to her. Liz passed away July 21, 2015, losing a three-month battle with cancer. She will be missed by all and it is in her honor that we dedicate the 2016 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Florence.
