As an affected business owner/man- ager, property owner or resident, the Council seeks your comments on this request. The Council will take public com- ment at its meeting beginning at 6:00 pm on August 15, 2016 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 250 Highway 101. The Rods n Rhodies Car Show is planned to consist of a two-day car show and car cruise. Bay Street from underneath the Siuslaw River Bridge to Nopal Streets and the half blocks of Laurel, Maple and Nopal Street just north of Bay Street are proposed to be closed from 7 am to 4 pm on Saturday and from 7 am to 2 pm on Sunday for the Car Show. The City Council will consider whether the application meets the criteria outlined in Florence City Code 7-5-1-1 as well as the following two criteria: (1) Is the information provided by the applicant credible and are the plans submitted by the applicant adequate to protect the city, the public and the affected property own- ers? (2) Is the potential harm and inconvenience to public and affected property owners created by this road closure rea- sonably mitigated or avoided by the applicant’s plan for the event?
