SALUTE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ❚ SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2016 C ONFEDERATED T RIBES OF C OOS , L OWER U MPQUA & S IUSLAW I NDIANS T RIBAL P OLICE D EPARTMENT L IEUTENANT B RIAN D UBRAY Brian joined the department in early 2014. He has over 9 years Law Enforcement experience ranging from a Reserve Offi cer and Communications Offi cer for North Bend, and most recently as a Tribal Police Offi cer with the Coquille Tribe. Brian is no stranger to Florence. He was raised here and graduated from Siuslaw High School. LANE COUNTY SHERIFF FLORENCE PATROL OFFICE O FFICER D OUG L AIRD F LORENCE R ESIDENT D EPUTY G UY P EASE Doug has been in Law Enforcement for over 20 years. He most recently joined our team from the Coos County Sherriff’s offi ce. He served in the Marine Corp, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is from North Bend, his primary patrol area will be our Coos Bay tribal lands. Deputy Guy Pease has worked for the Sheriff’s Offi ce for 15 years, and was recently selected as the Florence area deputy for the Sheriff’s Offi ce as part of the Resident Deputy Program. Deputy Pease began his law enforcement career working in the jail and transferred to police services in 2010, where he has been working as a patrol deputy. He is a Field Training Offi cer and is part of a team that is respon- sible for training new deputies in their role as police offi cers. He also serves as a Crisis Negotiator with the Sheriff’s Offi ce. Deputy Pease is passionate about community policing and work- ing with residents and visitors to address their individual concerns around public safety. He has been with the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua & Siuslaw Indians for over 10 years. Prior to the Tribal Police Department, Brad was employed by the Oregon State Police when he left to work for the Tribal Police Department. O FFICER S HANE H ENDERSON Shane is a recent graduate from the DPSST academy and will be starting his Law Enforcement career with the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua & Siuslaw Indians Tribal Police Department. F LORENCE D UNES D EPUTY E D L AGRONE Ed has been with the Lane County Sheriff’s Offi ce since 1988. He worked Corrections for 12 years, worked in the woods on the Marijuana Eradication Team, Traffi c Safety Team, Main Sheriff’s Offi ce Patrol, and is a fi rearms instructor. Ed has been the Florence Dunes Deputy since 2010. In his off time Ed likes to spend time with family and riding his motorcycle.
