The Early Rhododendron Flower Show had 687 entries of rho- dodendrons and azaleas. The annual show was planned by Jim Smith, one of the group’s directors. “It was a very successful show,” said Secretary Sandi Hennig. “It was a good number of entries, and our flower sale went well.” The entries were judged based on variety, color, foliage and presentation. Ribbons were awarded for many categories. The Rhododendron Days Flower Show is held in conjunction with the 109th annual Rhododendron Days, May 20 to 22, at the events center.
