SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2016 Burger sales to benefit FAHS dogs, cats today Hamburgers and hot dogs hot-off-the-grill will be avail- able today in the Grocery Outlet parking lot. This event, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will raise money to help provide care for once- homeless cats and dogs await- ing a home at the Florence Area Humane Society’s (FAHS) no-kill shelter. Hamburgers cost $4 and hot dogs and Polish dogs are $3. Add cheese to any order for 50 cents. Cold drinks are $1 and include a variety of soft drinks C AL A PPLEBEE 3 A RETIRES ON A HIGH NOTE as well as bottled water. FAHS volunteers will also have homemade pastries avail- able. Inside the store, adoptable kittens with FAHS volunteers will be the main attraction. Volunteers will also be offer- ing information about the serv- ices offered by the humane society.
