SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2016 9 A Businesses, vendors PeaceHealth organizes benefit for local seniors invited to free job fair Plans are underway for a community job fair Thursday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., hosted by Three Rivers Casino Resort. This fair will be free to both attendees as well as vendors and community partners. Local businesses and appli- cants alike know the chal- lenges when applying for jobs and locating resources. The goal of the fair is to bring those parties and resources together to form a network in the local community in hopes of estab- lishing the job fair as an annu- al event. Three Rivers Casino Resort will utilize its marketing expe- rience and contacts to publi- cize this event so that there is a large pool of attendees. Currently, Three Rivers has a commitment from the fol- lowing businesses to partici- pate: Banner Bank, Berkshire Hathaway, Florence Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Florence, Driftwood Shores, Lane Community College, Oregon Pacific Bank, PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center, Safeway, Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue, Siuslaw News, Siuslaw Public Library, Siuslaw School District, Spruce Point Assisted Living, Three Rivers Casino Resort, and Worksource Lane (Employment Department). Organizers are looking for additional interested business- es and community partners who would like to participate in this free event. The venue is an ideal opportunity to reach out to interested applicants and talk with them in person before the peak of hiring season.
