The concert, “Advent Contemplations,” included classical music performed by New Life Lutheran organist Brian Lindsey and violinist Steve Avery, the St. Andrews Episcopal Church deacon. The concert welcomed a full house. After the concert, a reception was hosted by Carroll and Cynthia Marohl. A donation of $577 was pre- sented to the Helping Hands Coalition for winter warming needs of the homeless in the area. A Helping Hands Coalition spokesperson said, “A huge thank you to New Life Lutheran, St. Andrews Episcopal churches and to musicians Brian Lindsey and Steve Avery for their beautiful concert on behalf of Helping Hands Coalition. It shows what can be done with a small group of giving, caring and generous folks.
