According to hospital officials, the clinic was evacuated Oct. 21 due to reports of an odor from an unknown source. Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue responded to per- form air quality tests but could not identify any present threat. Hospital representative Kat Rannow said, “Further testing to identify the odor was performed and the results did not reveal any present threat or need for further concern. The odor has dissipated and caregivers will be getting the clinic ready for normal business operations on Wednesday.” The fire department was unable to locate the source of the odor. Primary Care services were temporarily relocated to another building during the closure. Here are some events in the Florence area for youth, families and grownups, who are all kids on Halloween: Multi-day Events S CARE -CROW H AUNTED M AZE Oct. 29, 6 to 9 p.m.; Oct. 30, 6 to 9 p.m.; and Oct. 31, 3 to 6 p.m. — CROW Center for the Performing Arts, 3120 Highway 101 Children’s Repertory of Oregon Workshops (CROW) is hosting its first-ever haunted maze. At parents’ discretion, people aged 8 and older can go through the maze haunted by CROW youth and adult volunteers. Admission is $4 per person, per entry. Thursday, Oct. 29 C hildren’s Repertory of Oregon Workshops (CROW) is putting on a Scare-CROW Haunted Maze tomorrow through Saturday — but that doesn’t mean it is just for kids. Expect creepy dolls, zombies, light effects, spooky sounds and things that go bump in the night. In front of one display, Melanie Heard, artistic director of CROW, said, “Here is where Jack and Jill went up the hill — and died.” The Scare-CROW Haunted Maze will be held in CROW’s new Center for the Performing Arts at 3120 Highway 101 in Florence. Tomorrow, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30, the maze will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. On Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31, the maze will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. Admission is $4 per person, per entry. City Lights co-owner Michael Falter will present a short introduction to the film and Wannberg’s works. Tickets are $10 for City Lights members and $15 for general admission.
