Viewpoint vandalism
Local photographer Ken McDougal spotted orange spraypaint on the stone barrier at the Heceta Head Lighthouse
viewpoint on Highway 101 Friday morning. McDougal noticed the graffiti at 6:30 a.m. while out shooting the land-
scape. “It's a shame that some people have nothing better in life to do then to vandalize the beauty of our Oregon
scenery,” he said. Oregon State Police advise calling non-emergency phone numbers for area law enforcement
agencies to report destruction and vandalism of public property.
