6 A SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ SATURDAY, MARCH 21, 2015 OBITUARIES HATCH—Molly Sue Hatch, 64, of Florence, passed away peace- fully March 16, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Molly was born in North Bend, but Molly Hatch Ore., later moved with her family to the Dexter/ Pleasant Hill area, where she graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. Molly also lived in Kailua, Hawaii, for 24 years, working at many different jobs, even as a bicycle courier and eventual- ly operating a children’s day care. She loved the outdoors and especially the many beautiful beaches both in Hawaii and in Florence. Molly also had a love for all animals, especially cats. They, too, became part of her family. It was in Kailua where Molly was first contacted by Jehovah’s Witnesses and began studying the Bible. She was baptized on July 8, 1977, in Honolulu and became active in helping others learn about the Bible. Molly served her God Jehovah faithfully until her death. It was Molly’s wish that all could learn about God’s prom- ise in the Bible to end all suf- fering (Revelation 21:3,4). Although Molly remained single, her love for children motivated her to adopt. She is survived by her daughters, Malia, Sadie and Rose. They enjoyed a loving home and have many wonderful memo- ries of helping their mother with their children’s day care business here in Florence. Malia is in her first year at LCC in Florence; Sadie is a sophomore at Siuslaw High; and Rose attends Siuslaw Middle School.
