Among the articles saved from the wreck at Arlington were manv of the paintings that, in the happy days s(jtie, adorned the walls of that once beautiful and hospitable mansion. Most of them are defac ed cither by soldiers or by trans- ! ponaiion ana tney are now at Green's cabinet factory, in this city undergoing repairs, preparatory to being forwarded to their owner, Mrs. Mary Curtis Lee, at her home in Lexington.
