north of Mount Adams, has an elevation

elevation of 4,900 feet; the White Pass, 10

2 miles north of the Cowlitz, 4,200 feet ;
the Natchas, being the first pass north of
Mount Rainier, 5,000, reduced by tun

Paw, 5 miles north "of the Natchess, 3,
500 feet; and the Saoqualmie, ,010, re
