It is not expected that the city teams will cart off great loads from any one place, and those having more than can be conveniently bauled iu one load will have to provide for its hauling themselves. Look for notice elsewhere in tneee columns. The following resolution was presf nted: On motion of Aiken, seconded by C. A. Minor, it was ordered that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a lease by the terms of which the city shall lease to Q. E. Farnsworth that portion of upper Main street of the city enclosed and occupied by said O. E. Farnsworth, for the term of five years in con sideration of the payment of 81.00 by said O. Juniors Will Be IT To- , Morrow Evening. If persistent prac'ice, backed up by an abundance of class spirit, count for anything, the play being arranged, and at this time receiv ing the finishing touches by the Junior class of the Heppner High School, bhould be one of the star attractions of the season. A few months ago the prospect for a class play this year looked very gloomy, but with the arrival of Mi& Funk, new life was giyen the rjovement. Here was an op. portunity for the young people to do themselves proud, especially in a musioal way, and it was decided that the first play should consist mainly of music. Some were a little skeptical on this point, as the class is largely boys and they were fcever known to behave any too well in the music class, but they were convinced they could sing little, at least, and after a few good rehearsals it was found that they could f,ing quite a bit. Now they are convinced that they can sing and do soma other things of an interesting nature, and all they ask is that you come out and give them a chance to show you what they can do. Besides a program of bright, popular songs, a farce entitled, "A String of Pearls" has been worked up and will be presented for your amusement and entertainment to morrow evening. If you want to enjoy a pleasant evening and at the same time pre- mote a worthy cause, "put on your old gray bonnet" and hike to Rob erts hall to-morrow, (Friday) eve ning, deposit your 35 cents at the ticket window and then remain silent the Juniors will make the fuss. P. S. If you havent purchased a ticket you will have to hurry, for they are selling fast. Warning; To Railroad ITIen. E. S. Bacon. 11 Bast St, Bath.
