It is just off the centra', court and overlooks Lake Washing ton. The building was completed in November and eince that time the Oregon commission has been engaged in the assembling of the ptate exhibit. By the early completion of its building Oregon has received a Jarge share of the advertising dur- in the pre exposition period. In i the past three months more than fiO.OOP persons have paid admission to the exposition grounds. The residence belonging to Mrs Norton, occupied by Mrs. Parker, I iu lone, was gutted by fire Sunday j evening while Mrs. Parker was at, church. The work of the lone tire department was highly spoken ofj jn checking the fire. There was no insurance on the building. Bert Myers, aged 1$ yearp, sod t Mr. and Mrs. II. A. Myers, who reside near this city, died Monday evening of consumption. The fu neral was conducted yesterday at Lexington. Rev, J. V. Crawford, of this city, preached the funeral germon. W. O. Y.
