week. The state law requires the
court to go over the county officers'
books twice a year and it is for
this reason that the board is eo
lorig in session. In an interview
with one of the board a Gazette
representative was informed that
it would be impossible for the
court to make a statement this
term as to the coudition of the dif
ferent offices as fa some cases the
books were somewhat tangled in
their accounts.

School Notes.
In School District No. 15, Clark;s
Canyon, new outbuildings have
been built recently. Tha board hf.s
ordered some new blackboard, a
dictionary,' and a flag.

Maude Cutsforth is the teacher of
this school. The school is small,
the enrollment being six. The
echool house is new. Owing to lack
of funds, the building has not been
completed, but is in very good con
dition for present use. It is the
intention to finish the building as
soon as fund are available. The
furniture is good. The windows
are provided with shades, and the
walls are nicely decorated.
Miss Belle Miller ha9 been em
ployed to teach in he new room in
t'.e Hardman school. She began
work, Monday. The opening of
this room relieves the congestion in
the other rooms and will enable the
other teachers to do better work.

a "Bill" Sunday, the evangelist who
Is now conducting meetings in Spokane,
Washington, devotes some of his meet

other afternoon he told thr story of his
conversion while encaged as a baseball
player in Chicago neaily a flatter of a
