university city one of the best
towns in the northwest. This

coveted 15,000 people, by 1010, and
probably more.

The marriage of Mr. R. E.
Wiley and Miss Helena M. Rhea
was solemnized at the residence of
the giootu on Main street, Wed
nesday evening.
The beautiful and attractive
home hnd all been furnished ad
was ready for occupation with
pleasing effects.
The floral decorations consist
ing mainly of red and white car
nations, terns and Oregon grape
were arranged iu beautiful con
trast with the color effects.
Promptly at S o'clock, the oflii
ciating minister. Rev. Henderson,
appeared in the p trior followed by
the bride and groom aud the im
pressive ceremony was performed.
A large number of invited guests
were present to witness the cere
mony and offer congratulations.
After congratulations, in order
to serve the mauy present, a num
ber of tables were arranged aud
refreshments were served.
Mr. aud Mrs. Wiley are both
very popular youug people of
Heppner.
Mrs. Wiley is the daughter of
Columbus A. Rhea, president of
the First National Dank of Hepp
uer, and a pioneer citizen and bus
iness man of Morrow county.
She is an eccornj dished young
lady aud has a large circle of
ft iends.
Mr. Wiley is a Boston Jboy and
comes from sturdy old New Eng
land stock.
Mr. aud Mrs. Wiley received
many beautiful and valuable presents.
