There came to my place about three weeks
ago, two dark brown horsr-a, one branded H. O.
on left hip and H. O. on right shoulder, saddle
and collar marks, weight about 1100 pounds,
1 owned this horse almut three years ago last
summer. Other horse branded on leftahoulder.
brand not discernible left fore foot club; shod
on fore feet, weight about 1200. Both homes
have roached manes.

The primary nominating election
in Morrow county was very quiet
,Only about 75 per cent of the reg
istered voters cast their ballots,
however, a number were sworn iD
on the day of election.
The senatorial vote would indi
cate a victory for the advocates of
Statement No. 1. Mr. Cake will
carry the state by about 3,000.
While Ellia lost Multnomah
county, he was very strong in East
ern Oregon and will have in the
neighborhood of 2500 votes to
spare.

are only five children, all of one
family. The father is chairman of
the pchpol board, and the mother
is clerk.
E. Hess, of "Weyerhaueer, Wis.
consin, is in the city.
Mr. Hees owns a large bodv of
land that has been logged off by
the lumberjacks in early days, and
while covered with brush, produces
an abundance of fine grass.
He is going to try the experi
ment of grazing sheep on this land
and is here for the purpose of buy
ing 1000 head'of yearling wethere
to take back with him.
If the experiment proves to be a
success, Mr. Hess will graze several
thousand head on his holdings.
Even the owner of 1000 head
would be considered a sheep king
in Wisconsin.
