Id roan' ways Mr. Conser was a remarkable mac Aggressive, fear lees, honest, he leaves no enemies, for every one who knew him was his frieDil. Big henrted, faithful, and loyal to everything that was good, few men were his equal. Heppner and Morrow ''county will keenly feel the loss of George Oou9er. For every public enter prise, his name Leaded the list. For the public good he worked with all his forces with that unself ish zeal characteristic of the man. If anybody needed help, some how Couser was always there. The great respect, the magnifi ceut lloral display at his fuueial today was a fitting tribute Daring -his long residence in Ueppoer, Mr. Corser rarely missed a funeral. Hie highest and the lowest, the hottest day in summer, the stormiest day iu winter, could not keep him away. Sometimes the procession onlv consisted of the hearse driver and the big hea ted banker by his ide, but he was there to drop a flower here, a tear there, and always a' kind word which brought sunshine to lighten the burdens of the heavy hearted. Long residence and at the head of a big financial institution, Mr. Conser was a prominent factor in the growth and development of Morrow county. While his &aceessful bnsiness career can soon be forgotten, his noble traits of character can never be forgotten by any one who ever knew him. As the flowers are still fresh on his last resting place, Morrow county is in mourning today with sorrowful thoughts of the passing of a man whose life stands as a monument for which the human race should feel justly proud. greater aud the cost would have been much less. But then how could the state printer make a big fat fortune without the state print iog graft. Chamberlain is out for United States Senator on strictly a demo cratic and "non-partisan" ticket. Plenty of candidates aud not much politics seems to be about the situation in Morrow couuty before the primaries. Burns is certainly ahead that is in the way of arranging for a Fourth of Jnjy celebration. A meeting has already been held for the arrangement of a big celebra tion at the Harney county metro polis.
