New Commissioner Appointed.--Warehouse Bonds Approve Bills Audited. Oregonian : "One of the star attrac tions at the Newport beach this season was the concert given by the Knox Kantner Concert Co. Mr. Knox's im personations never failed to win tre mendous applause and every feature of the program, quartette, numbers, tenor and piano 6olos, were cheered to the echo." Only one night in Heppner, Fri day, Sept. 18, at the Christian church. Resolutions Adopted. The following resolutions were adopt ed at the teachers' institute held in this city last week. We, the teachers of Morrow county in institute assembled, beg leave to offer the following resolutions: Resolved that we thank Supeiintendent Shipley and the instructors Mr. D. A. Grout and Mr. W. D. Lyman for their pflbrts in making this institute both in teresting and instructive. We thank the school bnard for the upr of their building. That we thank the County Court for granting the library fund and request that it be continued. That we thank Chas. II. Jones for furnishing us with note bonks and sons: books for use during this institute. Be it further resolved that we the teachers of Moirow county put forth individually our best f flbrts in applying the work as outlined by the course of study and so practically presented bv our instructors duung this institute that oir county may boast of a graded school in every district. Police to Taxpayers The Board of Equalization or Morrow county state of Oregon, will meet the first Monday in October 1!0.'5 and con tinue in session for one week for the purpose of publicly examining the assessment roll of the said count'. The regular session of the county court convened at the court house, Wed nesday of last week, and the attention of the court was occupied until Friday in disposing of a large amount of Morrow county's business. Owing to the resigna tion of Commissioner E. C. Ashbaugh, Judge A. G. Bartholomew and Com missioner F. M. Griffin constituted the board at this term. The report of the board of county road yiewers was favorable. The board of county road viewer8 submitted a favorable report on pro posed road No. 174, which waB read first time. The board of viewers also reported favorbly on road No. 171. In the matter of proposed road No. 175. The board of county road viewers in this report which was read first time recommended the establishment of road No. 175. In the matter of proposed road No. 172. The reports of the viewers having been fully considered and everything found regular, the court issued an order declaring the establishment and creation of county road No. 172. In the matter of petition of James Knighten to vacate county road. This petition which was contiuued from pre vious terms was acted upon and the prayer of the petitions was granted. The resignation of Commissioner E. C. Ashbaugh, was accepted by the court, and J. H.Jones, of Eight Mile, was appointed to fill the unexpired term. In the matter of proposed county road No. 174. The report of the viewers was read second time and the road was ordered to be located and established. Impaired Digestion May not be all that is meant by dyspepsia now, but it will be if neglected. The uneasiness after eating, fits of nerv ous headache, sourness of the stomach, and disagreeable belching may not be very bad now, but they will be if the stomach ia suffered to grow weaker. The bond having been fixed at $1000 by the court, was submitted and ap proved and license granted. John A. Thompson, T. W. Ayers and Albert Wright are the securities on above bond. C, Friday, and were tearing her clothing into shreds, when she was rescued by men who had to beat the beasts off with clubs. A 16-vear-old girl in Jefferson county, Kansas, last Friday under took to stimulate the kitchen fire by pouriDg kerosene upon it from a can.
