Experiments have been conduct sd in a trauze tent, one end of which was formed by larffe windowt. Into these the sunlight poured on bright days. Large stone Uaslns were placed on the floor for the mosquitoea to breed ia. It was immediatly noticed that whf n a person, entered the tent clad in dark frsy clothes, te nioequitoea settled on the cloth. When the person entered was dressed in white flannel, thejr did not approach him. A number of boxes lined writh eloth of various colors were placed 6n the floor, arid it was noticed that (rreat numbers of mosquitoea entered the box lined with dark blue. Fewer of the insects aoutrht the boxes lined with other colors, the number diminishing in this order: dark red, brown, scarlet. Wai k. sate-pray. olive-srreen. violet. lehf-irreen, blue, pearl-fray, pale f reen. l.k'ht blue, ochre, white and orsnfe No mosquitoes whatever were found in the b'i lined with vellc.w. A trap lined with scmethir.f dark would attract so many insects that they could be slain in lsrpe numbers.
