The democratic county convention which was held in tins city, Saturday last, was 'juite an enthusiastic meeting. Several of the patty leaders expressing the opinion that it was the best meeting that had been held here for eight years. Geo. Wells, chairman of the county central committee, nailed the meeting lo order at lu o'clock a. in. C. K. kedfiehl w ao elected temporary hRirman and appointed A. Leach and S. I. Stratton secretaries. By motion the lollowing commit'ees were appointed : Credentials K C Ashbaiigh, J J Roberts, C B Sperry, Jack McCullogh, .lames Leach.
