The Republican County Central Com mittee met at the court bouse Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. There was a fair representation of delegates from the different precincts of the county. Owing to the ahs nee of Chairman K. F. Hynd, J. B Carmichael of I.ex- ing on was elected chairman. Chairman Carmichael stated that the main objui of the meeting was for the apportionment of delegates, and to fix the date for the primaries and the county convention. After some discussion it wi decided to apiortion the delegates on a basis of the vote cast for M. A. Moody, two years ago. Ihie decision was accept able to ail. due deiega'e will be al lowed to every 1") votes or fractional part over one half, and one delegate at large, the aggregate being .13 delegates a'l told for the 15 precincts in the county. The new precincts that were created by the county court at .the January term , under the new law, caused some discussion. The app n tior ineiit w as finally settled in a satisfaetory manner I'y motion, South lone was allowed three, and North lone two delegates. p.y motion, Ueppner and Madison precinct were allowed seven de'egatet each . I!v motion, M. S. Max ell's oflice was designated as the voting place for North lone. ForSiu'h lone, Walker's hall wa des'gnated as a voting place. The chairman and Secretary were in strut ted to find a suitable voting p ace for Madison precinct. It was unanimously agreed to hold the primaries on Wednesday, March and to hold the county contention on the following Saturday, the 11th. Kverything was in perfect harmony at the meeting and the apportionment is entirely satisfactory. The apportionment of delegates will !e found in the call for the primaries and convention published elsewhere. in this paper. Demooratlo Cemmittee Meeting.
