This is an exceptionally strong company and the fact that they have been playing to crowded bouses every night for a week's engsgement in such places aa Salem, Eugene, Corvallia and Astoria on their tour through the Willamette valley is a good recommend ation in itself. Frem the great list of flattering press notice, Ibis i certainly a very fine company, which will un doubtedly p'ease Heppner theatr goer. The following article from tbe daily Capital Journal at Salem, will give an idea what the capital city theater goer think of thia company : "Theatrical companies have come to Salem before now and with flaring red lettera on tbeir gaudy three-sheet pest ers have declared tiiat they carried the finest band in the business and a chal lenged, unsurpassed orchestra, but it remained for th Fiscber-Van Cleve C"snpany to capture tbe prire for both. No finer music has aver been heard in Salem from traveling or anixations than has been heard at the armory this week. The selection ' all of the very latest and are rendered with a dash and a awing tbat not only show great training but marked ability, both on the pa't of Mr. Chas. Cochran, the director, and each individual member. The concerts given at noon by their street band are greatly enjoyed, arI the rain that poured thoae several days did not seem to Ibe ardor of aiany for the crowds were always large.
