T h * fruit men of Polk county met at the court house last Saturday afternoon to the number of about two dozen, and effected ¡tem porary organization by the election of A. B. Nunn as president and R. W ! Ewing as secretary. A committee, consisting of Joe Brown, Mac Grant, H. D. Parker, R. W . Ewing, and J. B. Nunn were appointed to so licit membership for the organization, it being the census of the meeting that the l ight fee to he charged would, be an initiation one o f $2and yearly dues of $1. The committee on constitution and bylaw** reported and the same were read and left for adoption when permanent organization is effected. Messrs Harshman, Nunn, Parker and Brown gave examples as to how they would prune different trees, giving their reasons therefor, and evoking an inter esting discussion upon the different is sues involved.
