The doc tor insisted on an operation as the only way to get well. 1, however, strongly objected to an operation My husband felt disheartened as well as I, for home with a sick woman is a disconsolate place at best. A friendly druggist advised him to get a bottle of Wine of Cardui for me to try, and he did so. I began to improve in a few days and my recovery was very rapid. With in eighteen weeks I was another being. There, are two salutes to the flag taught in the schools, the one for the ol der scholars bei ng "I pledge allegiance to my. flag and to the Republic for which it Stands; one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." The Chattanooga Medicine Company, with laboratories and general offices at Ohattanoga Tennessee, and branch houses at St Louis, Mo., and San Francisco Cal ifornia has become one of the largest DroDrietarv medicine concerns in the world. In the grawth of this great busr ness two factors have been dominant: The men's of its products Wine of Car dui and Tedfords Black-Draught bas been widely recognized and the original advertising methods adopted have exci ted great comment. The publicity for these medicines does not consist of the catch phraseand extra vagant statement too often employed in advertising to-day, but inttead" the plain story of experi ence of the medicine given in the plain language of the people themselves. The following letter is a fair sample of the thousands of ine of Cardui testimonials published dmicR the past twenty years 2068 Eastern Avenve. Cincinnati. Ohio, May 20, 1902. I consider Wine of Cardui a most ex cellent woman's remedy. It is certainly a specific as a tonic and regulator. For eight years I suffered with female trouble. I had intense pains in the bact and head leaving me so weak that I was unable to stand at times. Medicine did not seem to help me. but after all remedies had failed me Wine of Carduiproved my one great true friend. What a relief I ex perienced! It came only a few davs after I started takine it, I used it faithfully for four months and gradually grew stronger and better, I am now regular to the day and for the past two years have enjoyed blessed good health, I certainly wish every sick and suffering woman could know of your blessed medicine, how much pain and suffering it would prevent, and what a difference it would make to the thousands of homes where there is sickness and sorrow to day. if they had Wine of Cardui it would bring relief and joy instead, j Margaret Greenmyer.
