County Court.
The commissioners' court met in regu
lar tension last Wednesday for the pur
pose of transacting the regular monthly
business.
The usual urist of bills were
audited and allowed. The following
matters were given attention :
In the matter of a bridse across the
the Luckiamute river, near Frantz's, it
appearinz that H. M. Stone, heretofore
awarded the contract to build said bridge
has not complied with plans and Bpecifi
cations on file, as per contract, it was
ordered that said bridge be, and is reject
ed.
The matter of repairing two small
bridges across Beaver Creek was present
ed to the court, and the court, having
called for bids for said repairs, found
that the following persons had submitted
bids: SH Peterson, $18.50; RM Gil
bert, $60.00; W II Milhollen, $65 00. The
bid of Mr. Peterson being the lowest he
was awarded the contract for repeairing
aid bridges

E Dodele for a gateway was continued
In the matter of constable for Justice
District No. 9. C W Young was appoint
ed constable for the term ending the 1st
Monday in July, I9O4.
In the matter of roadmaster for the
year x90?, George W Smith having filed
with the clerk of this court a report of
his doings aa roadmaster, as performer
order of the court, said report was order
ed accepted and his bondsmen exonera

ted from farther liability in the matter.
In the matter of tbe application of
Panl E Dodele for a road of public ease
ment, in accordance with the viewers' re
port, the road was 'ordered opened across
the lands of C Reed and Wm Ryals, up
on Paul E Dodele paying costs and filing
proper receipts with the county clerk.
In the matter of experting accounts of
the cleik, treasurer, slieriff and recorder
for tbe term ending July 7th 1902, Ja.
H. Gibson was appointed to ezatnin the
books in behalf of Benton county. He
is to make a certified statement of his
findings and tile the same with the court
on or before the next regular term of
court. For this work be is to receive the
sum of $150. ' " " -
