The follow ing resolutions concerning tho Free Love doctrine of Victora C. Woodhull, preta unanimously adopted : Jiesolued, That our beautiful faith. Spiritualism, teaches that the puer the life of the indiyihual, the better for the life that cow is, and better for the lite bejqnd the river. 'Ret'olvtd, that we reqard the "Mono aniio" marriage as tho highest type of fur civilization,1 and that any departure from this condition has our most earnest pojudemnatiou. PROCLAMATION. grateful acknowledgment of the pCQunted blessings of Providence in pur bountiful-harvests, continued Jiealtb, and general peace ; and in recognition of the notable fact that while during the past year many of our pister States have been sufferers from pestilence and financial distresses, fvhile we have been vouchsafed the full enjoyment of j more than usual pros perity and exemption from disease; and While devastations by fire have visited pur chief city, and several" other localities within our borders, they have perved to. exhibit such recuperative power in our people as to turn seeming disaster nto good fortune. There never was an era in tno history of the world, in which there was more necessity for strict morality and sterling integrity than tho present. In all departments of society, social, political, commercial or moral, there are very mauy delinquents- It seems as if an epidemic prevaded the atmosphere of each of these. Socially there are many who are abandoning the old land, marks which pur fathers established iu their integrity, and are putting forth opinions and practices which are de moralizing in their 'tendencies, sapping tne very foundations of integrity and reliability, and unless the people, cs pecialiy the young and rising generation will take a fiim stand against this swelling tide of corruption introduced by the insidious wiles of those who prate morality, sad, indeed, will bo the desolation that must result therefrom, Integrity and reliability alone form a basis on which the social fabric can stand with any safety to tho commuuity or to individuals. Politically, the want or integrity aud reliability has become so fearful, that we arc a by word among the nations, and a disgrace to ourselves. The remedy for this terrible cor ruption, which is dcmoralziug almost every one connected with the govern, ment, is not to bo fouud in renal legislation, which the rogues kmrv so well how to evade, but it must 'have its origin among the people where strict integrity can demand of all who assume public positions, that they slndl main- tain the same or retire in disgr.ice. For this purpose, ve .would sound the alarm, aud eall tho peoplo forth in their strength, to do battle with wrong every, where. The same evil abounds, although to less extent, in our commercial relations ; the desire tor wealth, which is so generally fostered, is lea ling man away from the line of rectitude. To remedy these evils, we should have our chil dren bom and trained under the influence of the principles of puritv and uprightness without this, we may j look in vain lor relorm. Lot us learn that honesty is better than any public office, and a clear conscience more to be desired than alj tho wealth of fame that may he at tained there, and wc shall have a change in all these departments. The want of integrity and reliability in the moral and religious departments; is far more to bo deprecated than in the others, because hypocrisy is the vilest of crimes, and has very much to do in producing the evils which abound everywhere. the remedy is to be fouud in individual reliability, and de votion to principle in everything Ileli'jo Philosophical Jourll. A Washington correspondent had an interview with Secretary Fish regarding the shooting of the passengers of tho Virginias, The Secretary said it was a cold blood ed murder, that no one of sound judgement pretends to apologize for it except the Cubans themselves.
