The fourth and fifth and sixth reso latioffs, ' applaud the j aptipn pf their public servants iq ferreting out, andox posing the hideous corruptions of its own party aud dehouncp their leaders as a gang of thieves. "We .yubmit to the candid reader, Mf a party which has prpved itself to be so corrupt as de. clared by these resolutions, is not un worthy tho ; confidence of. an honest; people and ought not to take aback seat and witness with prido the organization of that new and pure party of progress, which can already be Been in the' dim dutant,' but" whose power is growing and Working in and among the masses to the great chagrin of theiving' mon opolies and Grant worshipers gener ally. The seventh resolution declares that, it is the duty of Republicans to oppose the election of evefy bad man, and by implication calls urdn the party to vote for the best man, vhether ho bo rnti uih,g on their own ticket or any other; and the eighth '' is a splinter without shape. Wo! desire to notice one other falsehood in the first resolution, where- j in they declare that, the Republican prrty preserved the Union, freed the slave and protected him from the oppres sion of the slave master." Now every man of commou honesty must admit that this is false; it is too "sell known aud the history of the past decade will hear witness, that from tho commence- j merit of the war to the organization of the Union party, the commander in chief of our army and navy, ordered all slave taken to be returned instauhr to their owner, tho truth i., the Aboli tion of slavery was the Lutuiui rcpuU ot the war and was rot brought alouf by any party in particular, nor h it true that the Hej ublcan party saved the Union, it was the I'aloti party alone thrt saved the country the dis grace which would have followed the success of rebels, aud tho permanent establishment' of a Southern Con federacy. Let it be dLliuctiy under stood that, we are not opposing ;ht correct principle.- contained in t! e rso lutba 'lc iaufiJ out the fa'.ie- ho;d, and fare and except the piii ci pie ot universal suffrage we endorse m the main, the principles laid down iu the resolutions themselves, because they j are riht, and because they are the principles which we have constantly advocated in Oregon, and which have been as steadily opposed by tho Grant Republicans. We thall see if the radi cal Republican party in Oregon will have the back bono to repudiate their former actions and di ings, which have been contrary to equity cu-d sc.cJ con science, and followiug the' example of their brethren in Iowa, adopt this plat form; if they' do not, it will be proof positive that, the party is one thiug in Iowa and another in. Oregon; and , if they do, for as it will, be , yictory and glory enough, for one campaign. The finlletin seems to bo worried over the fact that the Liberals in Ore gon are determined to support the bcsf man who shall bo nominated for Congress 'this fall irrespective of party" affiliations, but nevertheless" the people have so determined and we presume the liulletin will have to submit to their will, "and Wo continue cur notice to the corrupfionlsts and ringites, tba1 if any of their crowd shall be Bom inated - for ' Congress he 'shall --be defeated, and the liberals do not intend to bo defeated.
