A Sad Affair. Mother of those sad incidents which occasionally shock communities, has lately been brought to light in our county. As the matter is to bo brought before the Courts, and the parties in high standing in the com munity, we refrain from mentioning names, but will give particulars as we get them from reliable parties. A young man owning a farm, had a family liviug in his house, with whom he boarded. Among the members ot the family was a young lady about seventeen years of age. Soon after the family took up their quarters in bisfcoufie the young man made some advances to the young lady, which she indignantly re pelled. He offered her money to the amount of fifty dollars to yield to his request, but this ae refused. He then attempted to accomplish his hellish scheme by brute force-, in this she proved more than a match for him. The lady said no&mg about his conduct, thinking she was competent to take care of herself. The 3BDg man, however, was determiued not to be defeated and he resorted to drugs to accom plish his fiendish purpose. This is the outline of the case as it comes to us. We forbear com ment, hoping that the case may be fully inves tigated, and the party, if guilty, meet his merited punishment to the fullest extent of the law. The Citt Boot Store has long been Head quarters for tbo State of Tjurel's Cele brated Boots, of which I have Ejtelntiv Hale.
